Well it’s been a while since I put a post on this blog. Not to worry. I have not abandoned the weight loss effort…. well, at least not
yet. LOL! Here I sit at my desk at work eating a pasta salad and drinking water instead of a nice, sweet, fattening soft drink. Mind you I am staring at 1/2 a bottle of Lipton Brisk with lemon! Woe is me! I’m back to one soda a week at work… even if I split it over a few days… just one soda a week. It will save me some poundage and it will save me some money as well; especially since they just raised the price on the vending machines another 25 cents. It’s almost not cost effective any more!
I think I am going to go back to daily posts again just so that I can log what I am eating daily. I am not necessarily going to log all of my exercise time (or lack thereof) but rest assured I will brag up and down the highways and byways when I DO exercise! For instance, my coworker who goes for walks with me, and I have recently started walking up the six flights of steps back to the office after our half mile walk around Crystal City. We haven’t gone yet today, but we will so, yeah, I’m going to brag about it in between bites of pasta salad and swigs of water.
Today’s Food Log (eventually I will have this in table format again)
Breakfast:
1 Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese
1 Pint of Tropicana Orange Juice (that’s two servings of fruit, baby!)
Lunch:
Tomato and basil Pasta Salad with chunks of Cheddar Cheese, Pepperoni and Onions added
Sipping on a one liter bottle of water
1 6 oz. Yoplait Strawberry yogurt.
5 ginger snap cookies
Dinner:
Now you’re gonna have to give me a break over the weekend. My son and I will be on a campout and will be eating cookout style dinner and breakfast the following day. I’ll log it… don’t worry, I’ll log it!
